Manasi Parekh won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her film Kutch Express, which she also produced. The Gujarati film garnered two additional prestigious awards. What stood out during the ceremony was Parekh’s emotional response when she received her award from President Murmu. In an interview with Digital Media, she described the moment as “unreal” and “surreal,” sharing that she was filled with gratitude for her family and supporters as she walked to the stage. Overwhelmed by the talent around her, she broke down in tears, humorously noting that she might be the first National Awardee to cry on stage. Directed by Viral Shah, Kutch Express also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary, and Viraf Patell. Parekh shared the Best Actress award with Nithya Menen, who was recognized for her role in Thiruchitrambalam, alongside Dhanush.
