In a recent press conference at the YSRCP Central Office, YS Jagan, former Chief Minister and party president, shared his observations and concerns regarding the current administration’s performance over the past five months. Addressing issues across multiple sectors, he highlighted challenges faced by various communities and noted the need for improvement in the state’s social and administrative systems.
YS Jagan pointed out that some electoral promises have yet to be realized, mentioning initiatives like ‘Supersix’ and ‘Superseven,’ which he noted are still pending implementation. He expressed concern over what he described as a growing sense of public discontent, emphasizing his hope that these programs will soon take shape to benefit the broader community.
Focusing on the education and healthcare sectors, Jagan addressed recent delays in fee reimbursements, which he said have affected students. He also mentioned that essential health services like ‘108’ and ‘104’ emergency response systems are facing operational challenges, with Arogyashri arrears reported to be over Rs. 2,400 crores. He encouraged prioritizing these areas to ensure adequate facilities and timely support for the public.
Further discussing public safety, Jagan mentioned recent statistics and noted the need for a proactive approach in addressing law and order concerns. He also discussed the flood relief efforts, suggesting more efficient use of resources in relief projects for better impact, while supporting transparent and efficient fund allocation.
Jagan highlighted the importance of a supportive approach to industries in the state, mentioning that certain investment proposals have encountered bureaucratic challenges. Citing the case of Sajjan Jindal’s proposed steel plant, he encouraged smoother regulatory processes to attract and sustain investments that could drive economic growth.
To aid citizens in voicing their concerns, Jagan introduced a “Red Book” initiative where families can document grievances related to state administration. He emphasized that such an initiative would foster transparency and allow officials to gain a better understanding of public needs and concerns, ensuring accountability across departments.
Jagan also addressed recent assembly proceedings, where he expressed his views on maintaining balanced representation and ensuring space for diverse perspectives. He mentioned the YSRCP’s intention to continue discussing public issues through media platforms and other channels.
In closing, Jagan urged the people of Andhra Pradesh to engage actively with the state’s progress, reiterating the YSRCP’s commitment to constructive engagement and accountability. He expressed hope for a collaborative effort in bringing stability, transparency, and growth to Andhra Pradesh.
