Amaravati Divided into Priority Zones for Comprehensive Development

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major development plan for Amaravati, dividing the city into 13 zones to ensure well-organized growth. Six of these zones are designated as priority areas for the first phase, covering a total of 12,894 acres. Development will primarily focus on the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), set to become a central administrative hub.

The priority zones will receive dedicated resources to build essential infrastructure and improve services. Key government buildings will be located in these zones, making administrative offices more accessible for citizens. Additionally, the government has partnered with Dutch experts to construct canals and reservoirs, aiming to enhance water management and promote sustainability in Amaravati.

This new zoning system, which includes an extra zone called 12A, aims to make the development process smoother and promote balanced growth across the city. By prioritizing the Amaravati Government Complex and incorporating international expertise, the government is laying a strong foundation for Amaravati’s future as a well-planned, sustainable urban center.
