YSRCP Chief Advocates Ballot Voting and Free Speech on Constitution Day

YSRCP Chief and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended his wishes to the nation on National Constitution Day, marking 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949. He urged citizens to reaffirm their commitment to constitutional principles, emphasizing democracy and fundamental rights.

“Our Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic guarantees us Justice, Equality, Liberty, and Fraternity. As we celebrate the 75th Constitution Day, let us reflect on its significance and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to its guiding principles.- YS Jagan

The cornerstone of democracy is electing public representatives. However, concerns about EVMs’ credibility prompt the need to reconsider ballot papers, as practiced in many nations. Democracy must not only prevail but also be seen to thrive.

Another significant issue is the suppression of free speech, the most fundamental right guaranteed to all citizens. Today, we honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the visionaries who shaped our Constitution, guiding us toward a unified and equitable India.”

At the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, party leaders celebrated by paying floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar. Speaking at the event, MLC and office in-charge Lella Appi Reddy criticized the TDP-led coalition government, calling it a “Red Book Constitution” regime. He accused them of arbitrary and undemocratic practices, specifically targeting former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh for fostering lawlessness.

YSRCP State General Secretary Jupudi Prabhakara Rao stated, “Dr. Ambedkar’s Constitution, which guarantees justice for all, cannot be replaced by unconstitutional practices. Under YS Jagan’s leadership, inclusive governance has reached every section of society through innovative systems like village secretariats and volunteers.

Party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to upholding constitutional values and serving the people with integrity.
