YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
Tadepalli: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon party cadre to be the voice of the people and expose the failures of the coalition government. Addressing local body leaders from Srikakulam on Thursday, he emphasized the growing public dissent against the government and urged the party to strengthen its presence at all levels—state, district, and mandal—while leveraging social media platforms to highlight government shortcomings.
YS Jagan’s Plans for Party Strengthening
YS Jagan announced his decision to tour every parliamentary constituency, meeting party workers every Wednesday and Thursday to bolster the organization’s foundation and shed light on the coalition government’s failures. “The time has come for us to become the voice of the people,” he declared, stressing the importance of connecting with the masses.
Criticism of Coalition Government
YS Jagan accused the coalition government of failing on all fronts:
- Education & Healthcare: Both sectors have been severely neglected. Key welfare schemes such as Amma Vodi and fee reimbursement remain unpaid, leaving students in distress. Medical services have deteriorated, with delayed Aarogyasri bill clearances and unpaid salaries for 108 and 104 ambulance staff.
- Farmer Distress: Farmers face exploitation due to a lack of Minimum Support Prices (MSP) and the resurgence of middlemen. In contrast, YSRCP supported farmers through RBKs (Rythu Bharosa Kendras).
- Rampant Corruption: Widespread corruption dominates liquor, sand mining, and other sectors. Mafia groups in every constituency are allegedly exploiting resources under government protection.
Contrast in Governance
Highlighting the stark difference between YSRCP’s governance and the current regime, YS Jagan reminded leaders of his government’s welfare calendar. “We allocated funds, scheduled transfers, and ensured timely welfare benefits,” he said. He accused the TDP of misleading the public with hollow promises, which they have now failed to fulfill.
Call for Action
YS Jagan urged the cadre to actively use platforms like Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, and YouTube to expose the coalition’s inefficiencies and counter opposition-friendly media narratives. “We will see this government reduced to single digits soon,” he asserted.
YS Jagan’s commitment to grassroots-level interaction and his strategy to counter the coalition government’s failures signal the YSRCP’s readiness to reclaim its position as the true voice of the people.
