Major AP Cabinet Decisions – Focus on Development and Growth

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by CM Chandrababu Naidu, has approved several critical decisions to drive state development, industrial growth, and infrastructure progress.

Massive Funding for Amaravati Development

  • The Cabinet approved ₹2,733 crore for Amaravati city development projects.
  • Two major works from the 44th meeting were also given the green signal for resumption.

Municipal Law Amendment

  • The Municipal Law Amendment Ordinance was approved, empowering municipalities with full authority to issue permits for building constructions and layouts.

New Posts in Pithapuram Development Authority

  • The Cabinet sanctioned the creation of 19 new posts in the Pithapuram Area Development Authority to enhance administrative efficiency.

Key Industrial Projects Discussed

  • Approval for the establishment of a BPCL Refinery in Ramayapatnam was granted.
  • Plans for setting up a Green Ammonia Plant in Kakinada were also initiated.

Renewable Energy Projects

  • The Cabinet greenlit the development of solar and wind energy plants in Nandyala, Kadapa, and Kurnool districts, aimed at boosting the state’s renewable energy sector.

IR Battalion in Chittoor District

  • The allocation of land for setting up an Indian Reserve (IR) Battalion of the Home Department in Chittoor district was discussed, marking a significant step in strengthening security infrastructure.

These decisions reflect the state’s commitment to fast-tracking development and fostering sustainable growth, ensuring long-term benefits for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
