In a shocking turn of events, Guntur East TDP MLA Nazir Ahmed became the target of an attack while attending a program to mark the 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The incident took place during a celebration held in Guntur’s 1st Division, where TDP Division President Syed Intiyaz and his brother Feroz accused Nazir Ahmed of not adhering to the proper protocols for the event. The confrontation escalated when the duo allegedly attempted to physically assault the MLA. In self-defense, Nazir Ahmed reportedly pushed one of the attackers away.
Following the altercation, event organizer Sailaja lodged a formal complaint with the Old Guntur police. Based on her report, a case was registered, and an investigation has been initiated to address the matter.
Authorities are currently looking into the incident to determine the specifics of the confrontation.
