YSRTP leader and APCC chief YS Sharmila Reddy has launched a scathing attack on the coalition government’s much-touted “Super Six” schemes, declaring them a complete failure.
In a sharp critique following former CM Chandrababu Naidu’s recent presentation, Sharmila highlighted how the government used NITI Aayog’s report to justify their inability to implement the promised schemes, citing financial constraints. She remarked, “Chandrababu Naidu’s approach is like tying a broken heart to a limp knee – misleading and ineffective.”
Sharmila accused the coalition of betraying the trust of Andhra Pradesh’s citizens:
- 50 lakh farmers have been deceived.
- 80 lakh students were let down.
- 1.5 crore women felt cheated.
- 50 lakh unemployed youth saw their dreams dashed.
She questioned:
- If financial instability was known, why were such promises made during elections?
- Why didn’t the government foresee the burden of these schemes when designing the “Super Six” initiatives?
Sharmila’s Demands:
- The coalition must stop blaming previous YCP governance for the current financial crisis and focus on implementing the promised schemes.
- As a major ally of the BJP at the Center, the coalition should press PM Narendra Modi for adequate funding for these programs.
- A high-level inquiry should be initiated into the financial mismanagement during YCP’s tenure to determine the state’s current fiscal condition.
- If the Center refuses to provide necessary funds, the BJP alliance should be withdrawn immediately.
YS Sharmila’s remarks reflect growing frustration among APCC leaders, calling for accountability and immediate action to address the needs of Andhra Pradesh’s struggling citizens.
