Nandyal, January 29, 2025: A recently constructed bridge’s side wall collapsed in Saleemnagar, Nandyal, due to drainage excavation work. Residents alleged that municipal officials’ negligence led to the incident.
Following this, Nandyal Municipal Chairperson Mabunnisa visited the site and expressed anger over the careless approach of officials. During her inspection, the officials admitted that the collapse was due to their fault, contradicting the allegations made by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders against the previous YSRCP government and former MLA Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy.
Yesterday, TDP leaders attempted to blame the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and former MLA Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy for the collapse. However, today’s official statement clarified that the issue stemmed from negligence on the part of the municipal administration.
YSRCP leaders in Nandyal condemned TDP’s baseless accusations, urging them to verify facts before making false allegations. They asserted that the opposition should refrain from misleading the public for political gains.
