Singer’s Arasavalli Visit Raises Eyebrows Among Party Cadre
The recent visit of singer Mangli to the Arasavalli Temple, accompanied by Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, has sparked a wave of anger among TDP supporters. Mangli, who had supported YSRCP during elections and performed anti-TDP songs, is now being treated as a VIP by the party, raising questions from disgruntled cadre.
TDP Workers Question Mangli’s Loyalty
TDP workers are baffled by Mangli’s treatment as a VIP, given her history of supporting the opposition party. “How can she be treated this way after supporting YSRCP?” questioned a party worker. Mangli had even refrained from performing TDP songs during the campaign and avoided mentioning Chandrababu Naidu’s name, leaving many loyal members upset.
Veteran Members Feel Sidelined
Longtime TDP supporters, who have dedicated decades to the party, are frustrated by the preferential treatment shown to Mangli. “We’ve worked for 40 years, but she’s getting VIP status,” said one member. This has led to growing discontent within the party ranks.
Internal Divide Intensifies
The controversy highlights a deepening divide within TDP, with loyal workers feeling ignored in favor of celebrities. If the leadership doesn’t address these concerns, it could affect the party’s grassroots support in the upcoming elections.
