Jagan Accuses TDP of Political Vendetta
AMARAVATI: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has strongly criticized the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government for misusing power to target political opponents. His remarks came after the arrest of former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, which he called an example of political revenge.
Jagan accused the ruling party of controlling the police and legal system to suppress opposition voices. He claimed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is using the “Red Book Constitution” as an excuse to justify illegal actions against his rivals.
Allegations of False Cases
Jagan pointed out a case in Gannavaram, where a Dalit youth allegedly confessed that TDP leaders forced him to file a false complaint. He accused the government of:
✔ Pressuring police officers to arrest opposition leaders.
✔ Threatening witnesses to give false statements.
✔ Using fabricated cases to create fear among YSRCP supporters.
Kotharu Abbaiya Chowdary’s Case
Jagan also highlighted the case of former Denduluru MLA Kotharu Abbaiya Chowdary, who was falsely booked under SC/ST laws. He revealed that a TDP MLA was caught on video abusing Chowdary’s driver, but instead of punishing him, the police filed charges against Chowdary.
“This is clear evidence of how the TDP government is targeting its rivals while protecting its own leaders,” Jagan said.
TDP’s Distraction Tactics?
Jagan accused the TDP of using these arrests to divert attention from its failures, such as:
❌ Unfulfilled promises to the people
❌ Lack of progress in Super-6 programs
❌ Failure to improve governance
What’s Next?
With these developments, Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a dangerous trend of political vendetta. Jagan warned that the people will not forget these injustices and will hold TDP accountable in future elections.
As tensions rise, the question remains: Will political revenge take over governance in Andhra Pradesh?
