Coalition Government Breaks Debt Records in Just 9 Months!

Tadepalli: The state government has set new records in debt accumulation, borrowing an unprecedented ₹1.4 lakh crore in just 9 months, former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged.

Speaking at the YSRCP headquarters in Tadepalli, Jagan criticized the ruling government for its reckless borrowing. He stated that budgetary loans alone amounted to ₹80,820 crore, while another ₹52,000 crore was borrowed in the name of Amaravati. Additionally, ₹5,000 crore was raised through APMDC, pushing the total debt beyond ₹1.4 lakh crore in just 9 months.

Where Did the Money Go?

Jagan questioned the government’s spending, stating that despite taking such massive loans, there is no sign of the promised ‘Super-6’ welfare schemes. He accused the coalition government of discontinuing crucial welfare programs introduced by the previous YSRCP regime, including:

✅ Amma Vodi
✅ Rythu Bharosa
✅ Vasathi Deevena
✅ Vidya Deevena
✅ Cheyutha
✅ Aasara
✅ Vahana Mitra
✅ Nethanna Nestham
✅ Chedodu
✅ Law Nestham

Jagan expressed concern over the financial mismanagement and demanded accountability for the funds raised in the past nine months. With such unprecedented borrowing, he questioned whether the government was using the funds for public welfare or for other motives.

With mounting debt and no visible welfare programs, will the coalition government address these concerns, or will the state’s financial burden continue to rise?
