YS Jagan Inaugurates Upgraded YS Raja Reddy Eye Hospital
Pulivendula: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the newly upgraded YS Raja Reddy Eye Hospital in Pulivendula. The hospital, modernized at a cost of ₹10 crore, is now open to the public, offering advanced eye care services.
A Historic Hospital Gets a Modern Upgrade
After the inauguration, YS Jagan toured the facility, inspected the new equipment, and even underwent an eye check-up himself.
This hospital holds special significance as it was the workplace of Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, known as the “One Rupee Doctor” for providing affordable healthcare. Now, the facility has been upgraded with state-of-the-art technology to offer the best eye care services.
World-Class Eye Care for Everyone
The YSR Foundation played a key role in this transformation, providing the land and funding the ₹10 crore upgrade. In collaboration with the LV Prasad Eye Institute, the hospital now has the capacity to perform up to 5,000 eye surgeries daily, making high-quality treatment affordable and accessible to the people of Pulivendula and surrounding areas.
This initiative continues YS Jagan’s mission to improve public healthcare and upholds the legacy of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who dedicated his life to serving the people.
