CPM Protests Against AP Budget – Roadblock at Nunepalli

Nandyal: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) – CPM staged a roadblock protest at Nunepalli Kovelakuntla Junction, strongly opposing the Andhra Pradesh government’s newly presented budget. Party leaders criticized the budget, calling it anti-people and a burden on common citizens while favoring corporate investors.

CPM leaders alleged that the government is granting massive tax exemptions to corporate entities while increasing the financial burden on the common people. They warned that if this continues, large-scale public movements would be organized to counter the government’s anti-people policies.

Leaders Who Participated in the Protest

The protest saw the participation of CPM district secretary member A. Nagaraju, town secretary Laxman, town committee members Narasimha, K. Mohammad Ghouse, P. Venkatalingam, senior leader Thota Maddulu, along with other activists and leaders from various public organizations. Over 80 activists joined the protest, raising slogans against the government’s financial policies.

CPM leaders warned that if the government continues to act in favor of corporate entities while ignoring the plight of the common people, massive protests will be launched across the state.
