Administrative Paralysis in Andhra Pradesh: 1.32 lakh pending files across 38 government departments.

The TDP-JSP-BJP coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is facing severe administrative gridlock due to internal conflicts and inefficiency, resulting in an unprecedented backlog of 1.32 lakh pending files across 38 government departments.

The Panchayat Raj Department has the highest number of pending files at 14,140, followed by General Governance under the Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister, with 11,958 unresolved files.

Critics argue that governance has come to a standstill as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan focus more on political gimmicks and personal rivalries than on fulfilling their electoral promises. Instead of addressing governance failures, allegations have surfaced that public funds are being misused for entertainment programs designed to mock opposition leaders.

This crisis is particularly concerning given the coalition’s ambitious promises during the 2024 elections. Their ‘Praja Manifesto’ pledged:
1. 20 lakh jobs over five years
2. Rs 1,500 monthly pension to eligible women
3. Rs 3,000 financial aid for unemployed youth
4. Free bus travel for women on RTC buses

However, with the current administrative paralysis, doubts are growing about the government’s ability to fulfill these commitments. This situation is not just a governance failure but a major setback for public trust and Andhra Pradesh’s development.
