Ramagiri, April 8, 2025 — The YSR Congress Party is up in arms over what it calls a shocking and deliberate security failure during party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Ramagiri in Sri Sathya Sai district.
Despite holding Z+ security status, Jagan was left completely vulnerable at the helipad. There was no proper police presence, and the crowd got out of control. Things got so bad, the helicopter’s windshield was damaged. The situation turned so risky that the pilots refused to fly Jagan back, forcing him to return to Bengaluru by road.
“This isn’t just carelessness—this is a pattern,” said a YSRCP leader. “How can a former Chief Minister, who continues to be a major public figure, be left without basic security?”
YSRCP pointed out that this isn’t the first time such negligence has happened. Back on February 19, 2025, during Jagan’s visit to the Mirchi Yard in Guntur, not even a single police officer was deployed—despite advance notice to the authorities.
The party believes these repeated lapses are not coincidences. “This looks like a clear attempt to endanger our leader, demoralize our workers, and block Jagan garu’s public outreach,” said a party spokesperson. “It’s a political conspiracy, plain and simple.”
YSRCP has already raised these concerns with the Centre. Letters were sent to the Prime Minister on June 7 and July 18, 2024, and again to the Home Minister on March 6, 2025, asking for immediate intervention and highlighting how the current AP government is constantly trying to cut down Jagan’s security.
“This isn’t just about politics—this is about the safety of a mass leader who continues to inspire millions,” the party said. “We won’t stay silent. The people of Andhra Pradesh are watching.”
As election season heats up, YSRCP has warned that such tactics will only backfire. “Jagan garu’s connection with the people is unshakable. No amount of intimidation will stop him—or us,” the party added.
