Overwhelmed by the talent around her, she broke down in tears, humorously noting that she might be the first National Awardee to cry on stage. Directed by Viral Shah, Kutch Express also stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary, and Viraf Patell. Parekh shared the Best Actress award with Nithya Menen, who was recognized for her role in Thiruchitrambalam, alongside Dhanush.
