Devineni Avinash Arrested for Standing by Farmers – A Democratic Outrage?

Vijayawada:
NTR district YSRCP president Devineni Avinash was arrested by the police while he was on his way to submit a petition to the collector regarding the challenges faced by farmers.

Avinash strongly criticized the police’s actions, calling them undemocratic and unacceptable in a democratic setup. Expressing his outrage, he questioned the rationale behind stopping someone who was standing up for farmers’ rights.

“Is supporting farmers a crime?” Avinash asked, directly challenging the police for their behavior.

Along with Avinash, several other YSRCP leaders were also taken into custody. However, the police did not disclose where they were being taken, further fueling anger and confusion among the YSRCP cadre and supporters.

This incident has sparked widespread criticism, with Avinash reiterating his commitment to fighting for farmers’ rights despite the obstacles.
