2,000 for Naidu vs. 196 for Jagan – Who’s Misleading Whom?

Tadepalli:
MLC Leelala Appireddy criticized the yellow media for spreading false claims about the security costs of CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Speaking at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he clarified that during Jagan’s tenure as CM, the number of security personnel was only 196, whereas Chandrababu Naidu currently enjoys the deployment of nearly 2,000 personnel.

False Allegations on Jagan’s Security
Leelala Appireddy condemned the false reports in Eenadu, which claimed that Rs. 90 crores were spent annually on Jagan’s security. He stated that the actual number of security personnel during Jagan’s tenure was 196, while Chandrababu had over 2,000 personnel during his term, facts conveniently ignored by the yellow media.

Excessive Security for Chandrababu
Between 2014-19, Chandrababu Naidu’s security comprised around 2,000 personnel, including deployments at his residences, hotels, and private locations. Even family members like Nara Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan were provided extensive security, yet these facts were not highlighted by yellow media.

Double Standards of Yellow Media
While glorifying Chandrababu’s simplicity, the yellow media is simultaneously publishing baseless claims about Jagan’s security. These narratives aim to mislead the public and distract them from the real issues, alleged Appireddy.

YSRCP’s Rebuttal
The YSRCP has strongly condemned these false reports, labeling them as tactics to divert public attention from the government’s commitment to fulfilling electoral promises.
