YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State General Secretary SV Satish Reddy has demanded that if Pawan Kalyan truly wants to play the role of the opposition, he must immediately withdraw from the coalition government. Speaking to the media at the YSRCP office in Pulivendula on Tuesday, he pointed out that three out of the four parties that won the elections in Andhra Pradesh are part of the government. In such a scenario, it is YSRCP’s responsibility to question the government’s failures, he said.

Satish Reddy stated that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has requested the recognition of YSRCP as the opposition to ensure more time in the Assembly to voice public issues. However, this statement has been distorted and used for false propaganda by the ruling alliance, he alleged.

SV Satish Reddy criticized Pawan Kalyan for speaking without any understanding of political processes. He found it ironic that Pawan claimed that since Jana Sena is the second-largest party in the Assembly, it should be recognized as the opposition. Satish Reddy questioned how Pawan Kalyan could demand opposition status while simultaneously being a part of the ruling coalition. He challenged Pawan to withdraw from the government first and then ask for opposition recognition.

Satish Reddy alleged that Pawan Kalyan has completely surrendered to Chandrababu Naidu and is merely voicing whatever the TDP chief wants him to say. He questioned the political maturity of a leader who remains part of the government while demanding opposition status.

He further alleged that the ruling alliance is afraid of YSRCP questioning the unfulfilled Super Six election promises made by the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP coalition. Instead of fulfilling their promises, they are trying to silence opposition voices, he said.

Satish Reddy also criticized AP Congress President YS Sharmila, alleging that she is working with a personal agenda rather than focusing on public issues. He accused her of indirectly supporting Chandrababu Naidu instead of acting as a responsible opposition leader. He reminded that YS Jagan had once defied Sonia Gandhi to form his party and achieve power, proving his political strength.
