Amaravati: The Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is once again embroiled in a major resource looting scandal. This time, the focus is on illegal quartz mining, allegedly controlled by TDP MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, who is accused of using political power to monopolize mining operations in Andhra Pradesh.
Quartz Loot: A Well-Oiled Syndicate?
Andhra Pradesh is rich in mineral resources, but instead of benefiting the state, TDP leaders seem to be profiting from it illegally. The scam, involving unregulated quartz mining and illegal exports, has raised serious questions about governance and transparency.
📌 Illegal Exports to China:
A Hyderabad-based company, allegedly linked to Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, is exporting quartz to China without proper government approvals. How is such large-scale export happening under government watch?
📌 Mining License Scam:
Out of 260 mining leases, only 30 have been renewed, while the rest remain stuck in bureaucratic delays. However, those aligned with the TDP MP’s interests seem to get preferential treatment. Is the state’s mineral wealth being selectively allocated for political profit?
📌 Syndicate Control:
Local miners are forced to sell quartz at prices dictated by Vemireddy’s syndicate. Those who refuse face retaliation. Why is the government allowing private interests to control the industry at the cost of fair competition?
📌 Political Blackmail:
Miners are allegedly being pressured into joining protests orchestrated by TDP for political mileage. Instead of ensuring fair policies, TDP leaders are using miners as pawns to push their agenda. Why is the government silent on these coercive tactics?
TDP’s Legacy of Corruption: Selling Andhra Pradesh for Profit
Quartz mining isn’t the only sector where TDP leaders have been accused of corruption. The party’s track record raises concerns about how Andhra Pradesh’s resources and assets have been exploited for personal gain.
⚠️ Gurukulam School Land Scam:
TDP leaders were accused of grabbing land meant for schools, depriving children of educational facilities.
⚠️ Kia Factory Land Scam:
Under Satyakumar Yadav’s watch, land was illegally acquired around the Kia Motors plant, benefiting a select few at the expense of locals.
⚠️ Agrigold Scam:
Udaygiri MLA Kakarla was involved in scamming investors in the infamous Agrigold case, betraying public trust.
The Big Question: Who is TDP Really Working For?
While TDP leaders amass wealth, Andhra Pradesh’s resources are being drained, and businesses are struggling under political pressure. If this unchecked looting continues, the state’s minerals, lands, and future could be auctioned off for TDP’s greed.
The people of Andhra Pradesh must ask:
🔹 Why is the government silent on illegal mining and corporate favoritism?
🔹 Who is benefiting from these scams while the common man suffers?
🔹 Is TDP working for the people or for its own financial gains?
Andhra Pradesh cannot afford to let corrupt leaders continue exploiting the state. If this looting is not stopped, the future of the state could be at risk.
