Election Promises vs. Budget Reality
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a sharp attack on the TDP government, calling it a “Babu Surety – Guaranteed Betrayal.” He criticized Naidu for failing to implement key pre-election promises despite presenting two budgets.
Major Broken Promises:
🔴 Unemployment Allowance: Promised ₹3,000 per unemployed youth; budget has no allocation.
🔴 20 Lakh Jobs: Only 4 lakh mentioned in the budget.
🔴 Aadabidda Nidhi: Promised ₹18,000 per woman annually, but no funds were allocated.
🔴 Free Bus Rides for Women: No budget allocation.
🔴 Annadata Sukhibhava: Promised ₹20,000 per farmer, but only ₹1,000 crore allocated.
🔴 Three Free LPG Cylinders: Budget allocation insufficient.
🔴 Pensions at 50 Years: No implementation.
Reality of Naidu’s Super Six Schemes
- ₹79,867 crore required, but only ₹17,179 crore allocated.
- ₹7,282 crore from last year remains undistributed.
- Pensions cut for over 4 lakh beneficiaries.
Industries & Development Under Threat
- Jindal Steel Plant and Aurobindo Pharma removed.
- ₹5,000 crore pension budget cut.
YS Jagan questioned whether it is justified for Naidu to continue as CM when key welfare schemes are ignored and government policies are harming public welfare.
