Actor Posani Krishna Murali Granted Bail in Obulavaripalle Case Amid Legal Battle

A mobile court in Kadapa granted bail to actor Posani Krishna Murali on Friday in connection with the Obulavaripalle case. Additionally, the court rejected the police department’s request for his custody. The controversy began when Obulavaripalle police arrested the actor from his Hyderabad residence on February 26 over allegations of making  remarks about Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. He was also accused of attempting to incite tensions among different societal groups.

Following his arrest, he was placed under judicial remand and lodged at Rajampet sub-jail. Later, the Narasaraopeta police secured his custody on a PT (Prisoner Transit) warrant and transferred him to Guntur jail. Subsequently, Adoni police took him into custody under a similar warrant and moved him to Kurnool, where he was placed in the local jail. With multiple cases being filed against him, the actor approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court, seeking the dismissal of all charges through a quash petition.
